Having said our piece about Jimmy Uso and his personal issues, let’s not ignore the fact that the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match between the Usos and Mysterios was just the kind of bout you wanted to kick off just the second PPV in front of fans since March 2020.

What had to be the first WWE tag match pitting a father-son team against a real-life brothers team turned out to be a pretty damn good contest, with both pairs gelling well and hitting on all cylinders. The near-falls toward the end sucked the fans in, with the crowd reacting to it all.

The Usos would pick up the win – and the tag titles – when Jimmy rolled up Rey and Jey helped keep him on top, setting the Bloodline up to be draped in gold by night’s end.

Great kickoff to the PPV.
