6. Who Is Apollo Crews?
WWE.comEven when things are served up on a platter, WWE manages to miss the mark. During Raw, the announcers cut to Renee Young for a short interview with Apollo Crews. Renee had enough time to ask Crews about how he intended to stand out among all the recent debuts, only for Stardust to interrupt and go into his own promo. Just like that, any chance of seeing more than a smile and a couple polite comments was lost. Apollo thanking Stardust for his fathers (Dusty Rhodes) help in climbing the latter of success was a cute moment for a second, but once it was brushed aside, there wasnt anything really new about Crews. Maybe learning more of his backstory would help.
The match itself was similar to Crews past victories, with the opponent gaining the upper hand for a few seconds before Apollo demolished his challenger. In this case, Stardust was run over in a very brief match. And while its great hes getting convincing wins to start his career, Apollo is the only one of the newcomers to be completely without a feud of some sort so far.
