9 Ways Impact Wrestling Can Successfully Rebrand

6. A Brand New Announce Team

The announce team has been a long term problem for Impact Wrestling. Josh Matthews and The Pope were left to do a terrible job for too long. Matthews and Borash had a mind-numbing feud with an entertaining conclusion, but both men need to be removed from the booth as soon as possible. That is a little bit harsh on Borash, but he is as TNA as it gets. He is surely more useful in other areas.

Fresh announcing talent may seem scarce in North America, but I refuse to believe that there are no up and coming commentators waiting to be plucked out of obscurity. Impact can successfully move forward with a brand new voice calling the action, as opposed to the tired old voices that seem to do the rounds outside of WWE.

Forget Josh Matthews, don’t call Matt Striker, don’t think about JR, and give Borash a backstage job for life. The wrestling world needs a new voice to rise up and call the action, and GFW is in a position where it has the spots open to find one.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
