9 Ways To Make Sure WWE Fastlane 2016 Doesn't Suck

2. Dean Ambrose Wins The Main Event

Is it wishful thinking? Probably, but WWE has actually done a fairly competent job of making us believe that they€™re switching gears from Roman Reigns to his best friend and going with Ambrose as the winner of Sunday€™s triple threat match to determine Triple H€™s Mania challenger for the WWE title. Not only did Ambrose lose his Intercontinental championship, freeing up that belt to be defended elsewhere, but he€™s also been the focus of most of the main event segments. He€™s been the one to take on Brock head on, he€™s been the guy to mouth off to Stephanie McMahon, all the while Reigns has stayed in the background. Does this mean they€™ve changed their minds or is it simply misdirection? I can€™t help but wonder if WWE teased Dean hitting Roman with Dirty Deeds on Monday as a way of testing the crowd reaction. If so, what they heard was an audience that popped huge at the idea of Ambrose €œturning heel€ on his best friend, and that can€™t bode well for the WrestleMania reaction if it is meant to be the coronation of Roman Reigns. Do the smart thing and ride this Dean Ambrose train while you can, WWE. Put him over in the main event and send him to Mania to face Triple H for the championship. If they don€™t, they deserve whatever negative reaction they receive.
