9 Ways WWE Changed As A Result Of Eddie Guerrero's Death

3. Eddie Tributes

Since Eddie's passing a decade ago, he has served as inspiration to a new generation of WWE performers and fans. A lot of the guys and gals now tearing it up in WWE and NXT grew up watching Latino Heat on TV, so it's no surprise that many of them have begun to ape his memorable moves and mannerisms. Some of these have been subtle, such as performers doing the whole 'make the top rope a hammock spot', where they kick back and observe the action with a cheeky grin on their face while lying down on the top strand. Other performers have decided to crib Eddie's signature moves, with many performers using the 'three amigos' triple verticals and Seth Rollins recently adopting the frog splash. Then there's New Day and their recent re-enacting of the old lie, cheat and steal tactics of Guerrero, attempting to frame their opponents in order to win matches. Sasha Banks, meanwhile, has frequently stated her love of Eddie Guerrero (her favourite wrestler), so expect her to start paying tribute once she, you know, actually gets a chance to regularly wrestle on the main roster. It's great to see that so many of today's stars are fans of Eddie. It would be hard not to be, to be honest. He was just so damn good, a perfect performer to watch and learn from. There's no shame in stealing his moves or spots, either - it's no doubt what Eddie would have wanted.
