9 Ways WWE Failed Miserably On The Road To WrestleMania 32

It's been an unbelievably bumpy ride...

It seems as if this has been a recurring theme in the last few years, but this may be the most underwhelming Road to WrestleMania that WWE has put together in some time. The go-home Raw, which theoretically should have been a home run to heighten anticipation for the show, really only had one exciting moment on it that stirred up excitement, and it involved a non-wrestler and a talent who only appears, at most, three or four times a year. While the final Raw leading into Mania 31 ended with the ludicrous Roman Reigns/Brock Lesnar WWE championship meanie face tug-of-war, the overall presentation of the event's build was much more cohesive than this year. We're suffering from a case of deja vu where the babyface on a mission to conquer the villain is being booed out of the building, but this time it's actually against a legitimate heel rather than a human neutron bomb who all fans respect and want to see unleash destruction on his foes. From the main event all the way down to the pre-show, WrestleMania 32 has been one of the most poorly constructed big events in recent memory, and while the staggering amount of injuries to the roster has been a hindrance, it doesn't excuse some of the truly puzzling decisions concerning the booking of the show.
