9 Ways WWE Failed Miserably On The Road To WrestleMania 32

5. Triple H Acting Like A Babyface

While he's attempted to make up for it - mostly through the contemptuous promos of his wife, Stephanie McMahon - there was a time early on in the build for their main event showdown that Triple H stepped out of character to act like a babyface, and it did a great disservice to both Roman's character and the story they were trying to tell. Let's take a look at the night that he attacked Reigns and put him out with an injury. Triple H came down to exact revenge on the man who had previously assaulted him, wearing his bad*ss outfit rather than his corporate gear. He takes the fight to his rival one-on-one, gets the best of him in a fair brawl, beats him to a bloody mess and then mocks his already-mocked taunt before delivering the ever-popular crotch chop. All the while the fans cheered his every move as though they were Texans cheering on a Von Erich beating down a Freebird. Since that night the fans have been solely on his side, even when he's insulted and ridiculing them while comparing them to Roman Reigns. Hunter is one of the mot effective heels to ever lace up the boots, and one can't help but wonder if there was a bit of sabotage at work when he pulled the moves in his angles with Roman.
