And you thought this list was going to be nothing but big men and their dastardly origins. While Hornswoggle may pale in comparison to The Undertaker or Kanes stature, his backstory is just as complex. While Hornswoggle may not be a cult leader or a demon, he was at one time a leprechaun. Legitimately, that was his gimmick upon his initial debut. Hornswoggle was originally referred to as the Little Bastard and was paired with Irish brawler, Finlay. Initially, the Bastard would hide underneath the ring before scampering out to attack Finlays opponents, grunting and laughing as he did. Less than a year after his debut, the Little Bastard name was done away with and the diminutive leprechaun officially became Hornswoggle. Then, on September 10, 2008, Hornswoggles backstory became even more complex. On that nights Raw -- following a long, drawn out process -- Hornswoggle was revealed to be Vince McMahons illegitimate son. McMahon then began to frequently put his supposed son in matches with much larger competitors. Vince did this as a way to illustrate some tough love to Hornswoggle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMRg683_BT0 Less than six months later, it was revealed that Hornswoggle was in fact Finalys son, not Mr. McMahons. As such, he returned to Finlays side, aiding him in his matches once again. However, by mid-2009, Hornswoggle became involved with the revived D-Generation X tandem of Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Initially, the reformed DX wanted no part of Hornswoggle, but eventually made him their official mascot. As the years went on, Hornswoggle became less of a leprechaun and more of a regular guy. He most recently teamed with Heath Slaters 3MB. The group of wannabe rockers then became embroiled in a rivalry with Los Matadores and El Torito. Hornswoggles feud with the little bull came to a head at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view in a thrilling WeeLC match -- a variation on the TLC contest.
