9 Wrestlers WWE Has BENCHED

4. Edris Enofé & Malik Blade

Once considered one of NXT’s most promising and hilarious tag teams, Edris Enofé and Malik Blade have seen their momentum stall dramatically in 2025.

After a string of engaging performances in 2023 and early 2024, the duo’s appearances dwindled after both were sidelined due to injuries. Enofé suffered a shoulder injury in August 2024, requiring surgery and a lengthy recovery period. He was medically cleared to return in February 2025 but the wait goes on for that to take please. Blade, meanwhile, has been out of action recovering from a torn ACL, which could keep him out longer leaving Enofé trapped between the bench and doing more jobs than is ideal.

The timing couldn't have been worse - prior to their injuries, the pair were starting to get traction on NXT rather than LVL UP, but as of mid-2025, the future of the tag team remains uncertain. It’s unclear whether WWE has plans to reunite the duo or if they will pursue separate paths upon Blade’s return. Both men have shown flashes of potential separately, but it's together where they've shone the brightest - the timing of the knocks in combination for how much either man wants a singles run in their futures could determine if the unit even makes it back on screen in tact.
