9 Wrestlers WWE Never Turned Heel

4. Ultimate Warrior

Ultimate Warrior had enough stroke during his 1996 run to completely pie-face up-and-comer Triple H when he petitioned for a competitive match at WrestleMania 12 rather than the squash that eventually materialised. He'd have likely done the same if Vince McMahon made the logical request to turn him heel, too. He'd already done so four years earlier when his gimmick wasn't completely out of date.

The SummerSlam '92 WWE Title match between Warrior and then-Champion Randy Savage went to a muddled non-finish in the wake of an aborted turn for the Challenger after summer television promised the revelation of Mr Perfect secretly cornering one of the combatants. The screwy conclusion was tucked away in the middle of a Wembley Stadium card about to be served a main event masterpiece, but Warrior's baulk had obvious ramifications on storylines planned in the aftermath.

A later-life look into the man's soul via the ramblings on his website revealed a natural heel too - it was a pity this version of the face-painted maniac never got the chance to garner the cheapest of heat in front of live audiences.
