9 Wrestling Stipulations That Are Better Than Getting Fired

9. Temporary Suspension

This is the least dramatic possible stipulation on this list, but at least it is more realistic than termination. Firings and Loser Leaves (insert show/company here) have lost their dramatic effect because fans have smartened up to the notion that the fired Superstars would in all likelihood come back in the future. The most notorious example of this was John Cena during the Nexus storyline. He was €˜fired€™, yet appeared at Shows attacking Nexus members backstage, and even wrestled for the WWE under the name €˜Juan Cena€™. A temporary suspension would be a better choice of stipulation because the Authority could sell the idea that the suspended Superstars would lose money while not performing for the WWE. They would be banned from all shows as well as the house show circuit for a certain period of time, a month for example. This would be interesting for Team Cena, especially Big Show, since many fans still remember his storyline last year with the Authority, which revealed his dire financial situation. The dire need for money would certainly make it more important for Team Cena to win, though not necessarily for Cena himself.
