9 WWE Champions You Didn't Care Enough To Hate
5. Sheamus
Three-time world champion Sheamus has been both hated and adored at various points during his decade-long stint in WWE - but his most recent title reign, beginning in November 2015, was met largely with apathy.
This was chiefly because everyone, the Celtic Warrior included, knew that he was little more than a stopgap champion - a way for the company to generate some extra support for Roman Reigns ahead of his coronation as the next franchise player early the following year.
Little attempt was made on the part of WWE to convince us that Sheamus had a long-term role to play in The Big Dog's quest for gold. He was simply the pawn in The Authority's chess game, seduced into cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase at Survivor Series by the promise of power.
It was less than a month later that it was decided Roman should win his belt back, confirming what many of us had long suspected: that it would be Triple H getting his own hands dirty at WrestleMania 32 (an event on which Sheamus was relegated to six-man tag action).
