9 WWE Stars Who Just Needed The Right Manager To Get Over Huge
4. Hardcore Holly
When you look past the rookie-beating and the locker room enforcing (that the IWC generally loathe him for), the fact remains that Holly was a hell of a worker, and a damn underrated performer. His career saw him go from being a adrenaline-chasing race car driver to a phony member of the Midnight Express to a hardcore specialist to a 'big shot' and, finally, to a grizzled vet. But one thing was always missing, regardless of what character he was portraying - Holly was missing a manager. It's hard to judge just how good Holly was on the microphone. He was never really given the opportunity to cut a proper promo, and he was mainly limited to short, fifteen to thirty second spots. If Holly had a manager to speak for him, it would have certainly helped. Holly had the look, experience and a legitimacy to him that few others had. He could work his ass off and fans certainly believed in him. It would be hard not to, considering you couldn't even slide a piece of paper between Holly's fist and his opponents head. Holly would have really benefitted from having someone with him. Paul Heyman, who was reportedly a big fan of Hollys, would have been the ideal choice. Heyman did manage Holly a couple of times towards the end of 2006 but, unfortunately for Bob, Heyman left the company following the disastrous December to Dismember run, ending the partnership.
