9 WWE Superstars Who Could Debut (Or Return) The Raw After WrestleMania 40
1. Big E
Some things are just more important than taking bumps for a living.
And in the wake of suffering a horrific broken neck injury in March 2022 - fracturing his C1 and C6 vertebrae - the much-loved superstar known as Big E has understandably taken his time to decide on whether he will make a return to the squared-circle.
Big E has gone on record to explain how he narrowly escaped paralysis, a stroke, or even death, so it's not hard to understand why the New Day man isn't in any rush to hop back into a WWE ring and risk doing any further damage.
Had my first doctor’s appointment and learning (because of the C1 fracture) I narrowly escaped a stroke, paralysis or death is very sobering. Life feels even more precious and valuable now.— Ettore “Big E” Ewen (@WWEBigE) March 22, 2022
In a conversation on the Sarah O'Connell Show earlier this month, though, the former WWE Champion did say that "no door has been permanently closed or permanently opened or any of those things."
So, despite being told by multiple doctors, "hey, please don't wrestle," it seems as though there's still a chance Big E could join forces with his New Day pals again in the future and possibly even rock up on the Raw after WrestleMania XL.
Watching Big E once again dance his way down to the ring after so damn long would be an unquestionably emotional and joyous sight one night on from this year's 'Show of Shows'.
But even if he doesn't confirm a return to in-ring action, just seeing the eternally positive star back on WWE programming, and potentially even sitting behind the commentary desk, would be enough to put a smile on folks' faces.
