9 WWE WrestleMania 37 - Night 1 Impulse Reactions

6. Tag Team Turmoil

Tamina Natalya
WWE

Absolute state of things here.

A match hastily booked on the WrestleMania go-home show featuring a mystery team that was inadvertently spoiled five days before the reveal, this was fairly reflective of a ramshackle doubles division that did no work to make any of these potential contenders feel like actual ones.

Sadly, the match fell into the same boat. Unlike Mandy Rose, who simply fell over on the presumably soaking ramp.

Carmella and Billie Kay's hopes were dashed by The Riott Squad with relative ease despite their early win over Lana and Naomi. Rose and Dana Brooke didn't make much of an impression before things went the same way.

Natalya and Tamina were at least well cast as spoilers, but only because they were such obvious villains. A previously-electric crowd sadly unplugged themselves for Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan's supposed babyface guile, resulting in Tamina and Natalya's win playing to polite indifference.

Hype remains low for Night Two's title clash.
