TNA chiefs want AJ Styles to wrestle on the debut edition of Impact when it jumps to AMC on 15 January 2026. The Wrestling Observer claims that top brass on the Nonstop Action side see WWE man AJ as a real ratings grabber for the blockbuster episode, and they've already reached out to gauge interest.

Styles himself has admitted that he'd be happy to work over on the TNA side again and bring his career full circle. He did appear in a non-wrestling role at Slammiversary on 20 July. There, AJ commended Leon Slater's work and called him a future heavyweight in the company/wrestling generally.

Could some follow up on that be waiting on fans come the 15 January Impact? If so, then this would mark AJ's first match under the TNA banner since losing a TNA World Title match by disqualification to current SmackDown GM Nick Aldis on the 9 January 2014 show (that match was taped all the way back on 5 December 2013!).

So, in other words, over 12 years would've passed from then by the time Styles next laced up his boots on TNA's watch. If he's keen and Triple H gives it the green light, then there's no good reason why this shouldn't happen.

AJ did announce that he plans to retire from wrestling in 2026. His TNA run was also celebrated before and during his fun bout vs. John Cena at Crown Jewel over in Australia on 11 October. Nobody should rule this return out - it'd be a lovely moment in WWE's working relationship with TNA.
