Adam Cole Cancels Twitch Stream Before Last Night's WWE SmackDown

The wrestling world's latest free agent wasn't in the mood for streaming last night.

Adam Cole cancelled a planned Twitch stream last night, citing the fact that "something has come up" as his reasons for doing so.

On the back of being the talk of the wrestling world as his contract officially expired with WWE on Friday, the former NXT Champion was quick to remove the WWE Shop page link from his Twitter bio - something that didn't go unnoticed by fans keeping tabs on his developing situation.

In another unexpected twist, Cole also decided to scrap his scheduled Twitch stream for last night, telling fans:

“Hey Chugs Army….I’m very sorry but something has come up today and I won’t be able to stream today (frown emoji), I really really wish that I could. But I will keep you all posted on when the stream will be Saturday! Love you Chugs Army and thanks for understanding as always (folded hands emoji).”

As expected, this instantly led to a ton of speculation as to whether Cole would appear on either Friday's episode of WWE SmackDown or AEW Rampage. However, as the dust settled on both shows last night, there wasn't a "bay bay" in sight. Though it's worth mentioning that Rampage was in fact taped on Wednesday this week, so any appearance from Cole was always bound to be unlikely.

Will the former face of black and gold stick around in Vince McMahon's empire? Or will Tony Khan add yet another massive star to his ever-growing roster? All will no doubt be revealed in the coming weeks... if not days.
