AEW All Out 2022: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

2. Jon Moxley Gets Pushed Aside

Tony Khan CM Punk

Jon Moxley was Tony Khan's panic button when injury robbed CM Punk of a proper AEW World Title reign shortly after he won the belt at Double Or Nothing in May. Mox stepped into the breach by beating Punk's original foe Hiroshi Tanahashi to become interim champ at Forbidden Door, but will he get proper thanks for it?

Or will All Elite reverse the squash they booked on Dynamite recently?

That made Mox look like the man, and yet it could've been a one-off. The mere fact that Khan has scheduled a rematch for All Out suggests Punk will fight back from injury, use adrenaline to offset his foot-related agony, get his win back and become full-time champ all over again.

It'd be such a shame to see Moxley get shoved to one side just because of what happened to Punk. He's been the best contingency plan imaginable given the circumstances, and Jon deserves more than to be cast out suddenly.
