AEW All Out 2022: 10 Things That Must Happen
2. Jon Moxley Retains
There's just no way they can stick the belt back on CM Punk so soon after this sh*tshow of a build. Screw the fact All Out is in Illinois for a second too - can pro wrestling get over Punk in Chicago already? Moxley has out-wrestled and out-promo’d Punk throughout this short feud, so there's no reason to take the belt off him here.
This is Jon's time.
He stepped up to capitalise on Punk's injury misfortune by bagging the interim strap, then appeared motivated as All Elite's top man heading into their hastily-assembled Dynamite scrap. There, he was booked to whip Punk in three minutes (to the shock of everyone) and move on.
Except...he hasn't moved on, has he? AEW decided on a last-minute rematch with Punk for All Out, and some fans seem to believe that means the injury-stricken ex-champ will take revenge in his home state. No, it shouldn't happen.
