AEW Announces 2 Big Title Matches For This Week's Rampage
Two bumper title bouts have been confirmed for this Friday's AEW Rampage.
AEW has announced two big title matches and three bouts overall for this week's episode of Rampage.
First up, The Lucha Bros will defend their newly-won AEW Tag-Team belts against The Butcher & The Blade. Rey Fenix and Penta won the titles from The Young Bucks at All Out, so this will be their very first title defence (here's hoping that's something the announcers mention on commentary).
Miro will also put his TNT Title on the line against Fuego Del Sol - Del Sol was soundly beaten by the reigning champ during the debut edition of Rampage on 13 August. Miro then ripped the newcomer's mask off before Sammy Guevara revealed that Fuego had been offered an AEW contract.
Anna Jay vs. The Bunny is the final match that AEW are advertising for Rampage.
Tony Khan will be mindful that ratings for the show have been decreasing steadily since CM Punk's debut pushed viewership over the one million mark. Since then, AEW has logged numbers like 722,000 (27 August), 696,000 (3 September) and 670,000 (10 September).
The show is still worth watching, but AEW will want to arrest those sagging figures as soon as possible.
