AEW Rampage Ratings Continue To Fall

It's been all downhill for AEW Rampage since that memorable CM Punk debut.

AEW's Rampage ratings have fallen for the third consecutive week, according to Brandon Thurston from Wrestlenomics.

The company posted an impressive 1.129 million number for the debut episode on 20 August. That, of course (and as pictured above) was the night CM Punk debuted and became 'All Elite'. Since then, Rampage has lured in 722,000 (27 August), 696,000 (3 September) and now 670,000 for the latest show on 10 September.

This worrying downward trend is reflected in individual demographic scores too. Last Friday's Rampage scored a 0.27 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is just down from a 0.30 on 3 September. That's a key demographic for AEW, so they won't want the slide to continue.

Tony Khan did warn that Rampage would settle into a groove following the hysteria surrounding Punk's debut. It's an extension of Dynamite more than a 'B' show, but there's definitely been less emphasis on it in recent weeks.

The latest episode featured pre-taped promos from newcomers like Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson. AEW also gave fans the Andrade El Idolo vs. PAC match that was originally scheduled to happen at All Out.
