AEW Double Or Nothing 2021: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

5. Matt Hardy Wins The Battle Royal

Nightmare: That Christian Cage doesn't win the Battle Royal and AEW instead spring an unwanted surprise by putting Matt Hardy in the frame for a crack at Kenny Omega. One can almost hear the collective 'meh" coming from fans if that's the case.

Chances Of Happening: Swerves are always an available option.

Everyone and their gran is predicting Cage for the win, mainly because he's the only one involved in the match that people actually want to see against Omega come the next pay-per-view. AEW might not be able to resist booking against the obvious, which would mean that Hardy is a viable alternative to his old TLC foe.

Not a great one though.

Being brutally honest, the wheels have come off Matt's AEW run. He can moan at critics on Twitter all he likes, but there's nothing all that fun about what he's been doing since approx two months after his debut last year.
