AEW Double Or Nothing 2021: 37 Things You Probably Missed
15. The Ref Saw Britt Ditch The Belt
Turner won't be as proud of this.
Britt Baker hit Shida with a Curb Stomp on top of the new Women's Title belt, then quickly hid the evidence from the ref...except she didn't. Paul (the official in question) turned round to see Britt disposing of the title. He then waved his arms around in typical pro wrasslin' ref fashion.
Oops.
14. WWE Night Of Champions 2015
AEW didn't detail that Sting's last match in front of a live crowd was on a WWE show, but they did drop the date in there. "Pro Wrestling Icon's 1st Live Match Since September 2015", his graphic said. That, as most know, was 20 September that year.
The Stinger wrestled Seth Rollins in the main event, and suffered a nasty neck injury that kept him on the shelf until he signed for AEW.
13. Aubrey Defo Did See The Tag
Aubrey Edwards could sympathise with Paul Turner.
She 100% saw Darby Allin tagging in Sting before the legend went to work on a scampering Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky. Aubrey then threw Sting back out onto the ring apron because she "didn't see him make a legal tag" (according to the announcers).
Edwards, like Turner, was literally looking right at this moment when it happened.
