AEW Double Or Nothing 2021: 37 Things You Probably Missed

12. Darby Hit The Safety Barricade

Darby Allin Knee

F*ck this.

No, seriously, f*ck this! Darby cracked the back of his left leg on the steel "safety" barricade when Ethan Page hurled him over the top rope and into the front row. The daredevil barely cleared the barrier at all. He's kinda' lucky that wasn't his back or neck.

Somewhere, a certain Jeff Hardy is preparing some healing tips for Mr. Allin.

11. Timekeeper Tears

Sting Timekeeper Crying

After Sting secured the win for his team, it looked like one of AEW's staff was about to bawl her eyes out. It's hard to see because of the middle rope there, but it did look like the woman in question was emotional about seeing the icon inside an AEW ring on pay-per-view.

Any old-school WCW mark can relate with that.

10. AEW Sticking To Official Records

Kenny Omega
AEW

Some fans on Twitter thought AEW were wrong here. They really weren't.

Kenny Omega's entrance graphic said he's "unbeaten in singles matches for 638 days". Technically, he lost to Jon Moxley at Full Gear 2019; that was 568 days ago, but the match was an unsanctioned "Lights Out" affair, and so doesn't count in official records.

Omega's last sanctioned loss in a singles bout was to PAC at All Out 2019 on 31 August that year. That was 638 days ago. The only slight surprise is that they didn't mention that the Geordie, who was involved in the title scene here, scored the pin.
