AEW Double Or Nothing 2022: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

7. Hook Suddenly Drops Danhausen

Hookhausen vs. Tony Nese and Mark Sterling is the ‘Buy In’ match this year, and people are starting to buy into Hook and his spooky little curse-giving mate as a tandem. So, it’d be a shame if AEW went in a different direction and didn’t book them as a full-time team after all.

What was that about swerves for the sake of it?!

The spine-chilling nightmare here is that Tony Nese scores an unlikely win over Hook because Danhausen got in the way. Then, just as Nese and manager Mark Sterling are high-fiving on the stage, Taz's boy would turn back around and suplex his face-painted on/off mate out of his creepy little boots.

Hookhausen has the chance to become AEW's very own Booker T and Goldust if it's handled correctly. Wrestling has tried to force too many "odd couple" pairings with little success over the years, which is why AEW shouldn't p*ss this up against a wall when fans are responding to it.
