AEW Double Or Nothing 2024: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

2. The Elite Eat Humble Pie

There's a case to be made for The Young Bucks having 'go away heat' in 2024. The team's brand of spot-heavy matches doesn't really suit the characters they've been portraying since turning heel, and the quarter hour breakdowns (if you're into that sort of thing) don't make good reading for the EVP duo at all.

At DoN, they'll team with Elite pals Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry against Bryan Danielson, FTR and Darby Allin. The latter is subbing in for an injured Eddie Kingston, so it makes sense to believe Darbs will take the fall and let The Elite brag obnoxiously on TV afterwards. Or, AEW could have another plan.

Read: A worse one.

Despite some fans turning off from them, The Bucks, Okada and Perry certainly shouldn't be spoon-fed humble pie just yet, and they also shouldn't lose to a piecemeal team of babyfaces at 'Anarchy In The Arena'. This is the heel group's chance to outsmart their rivals, feed into Claudio Castagnoli's concerns for Bryan and more.

Losing doesn't leave a lot of wriggle room for that story.
