AEW Dynasty 2024: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True
9. Mercedes Mone Causes A Non-Finish
The artist formerly known as Sasha Banks has been chuckled at by some accounts on social media for tumbling TV ratings since she joined the company. Whilst it’s hardly fair to pin all of that on her, it is slightly worrying and flies in the face of AEW sounding the trumpets over new signings. Surely, if anything, Mercedes Mone was brought in to bolster viewership.
Recently, Mone has been semi-involved with the TBS Title picture, so there’s a chance she’ll pop up at Dynasty during Julia Hart vs. Willow Nightingale. The usual “House Rules” Julia’s matches sport mean Mercedes and/or Kris Statlander will likely get involved. If they do, then expect some sort of screwy non-finish.
Boo to that.
AEW fans like definitive finishes to their pay-per-view bouts. It’s something the promotion has been protective of in the past, and there’d be some scattered booing if Mone and Stat forced the ref to throw Willow’s title shot out completely just so Khan could get to some sort of multi-wrestler match at Double Or Nothing.
