AEW Dynasty 2024: 10 Things That Must Happen
7. House Of Black Splinter
Sorry, but it's time.
What true threat do House Of Black carry anyway? This is meant respectfully, but Malakai Black's group are AEW's version of Bray Wyatt from 2017. They make grand promises, then fail to see them through. Rinse and repeat. It's dull as dishwater now, and Malakai in particular is screaming for change.
At Dynasty, he should be horrified when Brody King or Buddy Matthews eat defeat and get pinned by Adam Copeland, Eddie Kingston or Mark Briscoe. The arena lights should go out, then come back on to show a disappointed Black standing at the top of the ramp shaking his head as his stablemates look despondent in-ring.
All Elite's braintrust can keep HOB alive as a vehicle for Julia Hart provided they rename it (House Of Hart?), but Malakai can't proceed down this path of painful mediocrity any longer. His AEW career has largely been a washout, and HOB has become a creative noose holding him back.
