AEW Full Gear 2021: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best

1. MJF Vs. Darby Allin

It wasn't the best that AEW's latest had to offer though.

F*cking hell. MJF vs. Darby Allin was the future of professional wrestling in one match. This pair came flying out of the blocks with near falls aplenty, then they settled down and managed to weave a powerful tale all about Darby's resilience and Friedman's innate desire to be a flaming a*shole for the sake of it.

The side headlock theme, and MJF thinking Allin can't defend against them, running through match was so smart and well-worked. Other notable moments included Friedman using Sting's Scorpion Deathlock (again, he's an arrogant arse), and then selling the bejesus out of his knee after tweaking it delivering a backbreaker to Darbs.

To finish, these two polished their evening's work off with a skateboard strike tease that distracted the ref, a Dynamite Diamond ring blow behind said official's back and a headlock-into-pin masterclass in psychology and heel sh*thousery. This, simply put, was one of the best wrestling matches you'll see all year.
