AEW Full Gear 2022: 10 Things That Must Happen
8. The Other Tag Match Is Short
Let's hope so, eh?
Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal vs. Sting and Darby Allin does not need to be longer than 10 minutes. This is an AEW pay-per-view though, and those things seem to last for 87 hours, so there are genuine fears that Jarrett vs. Sting Part 8,377 could be given at least 20.
Naturally, both Lethal and Darby would be expected to carry much of the workload if it's on the longer side. That's fine, but nobody needs to see a feud that started in WCW hog too much pay-per-view time in 2022. They just don't, and that's surely something Tony Khan (as a huge wrestling fan) realises.
This writer is reading all sorts of claims that it'd be a mistake to book a Jarrett loss this early into his AEW run too. Exsqueeze me? The dude is 55, a part-timer and isn't the priority here. He can definitely take the 'L', hopefully to Allin's 'Coffin Drop'.
