AEW Full Gear 2022: 10 Things That Must Happen
9. Swerve Strickland Turns On Keith Lee
It's time to get both Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland back into singles action. The best way to do that? Program them against one another after Full Gear. The best way to make sure that happens? Have Strickland boot big Keith in his big balls mid-ring in New Jersey.
Cue booing, cue a heel turn and cue revenge on Lee's mind.
Swerve has been acting out recently anyway, and it doesn't take a genius to see a split coming imminently with this duo. OK, so him sort of/almost/kinda cutting off Billy Gunn's fingers in a creepy backstage skit was absolutely awful, but that'll be forgotten if his heel turn leads to banger matches with his old partner.
AEW can get some more mileage out of Keith's shocked facial expressions, or they can just make him an angry monster after losing out on the tag straps and seeing Strickland low blow him. Again, time to book these boys as rivals.
