Typically for AEW, the International Title bounced around a little following a lengthy reign. Orange Cassidy's first run with the belt lasted a whopping 326 days before Jon Moxley and Rey Fenix worked short, 20-ish day stints. After that, Orange regained his workhorse prize in early-October.

It'd be a mistake to book yet another title change right now.

Moxley definitely doesn't need it, and All Elite must be wary not to turn the International belt into some second coming of the TNT strap. That's been devalued by constant change, so some consistency would be great to see. Besides, Cassidy is excellent in the "hardest working champ" role - it suits him perfectly.

This match must be an intense showdown with callbacks to the previous matches these guys worked. If so, then it'll be a credit to the midcard and prove that this once-unwanted (by some) championship is one of the best middle-of-the-pack titles in pro wrestling.
