AEW Guest Says Wrestling's "Forbidden Door" Needs To Change

A recent AEW guest star doesn't think Tony Khan's "forbidden door" works anymore.

Jay White thinks pro wrestling needs to start moving on from the "forbidden door" name.

The New Japan star, who recently started making some guest appearances in AEW, told Busted Open Radio that the word "forbidden" doesn't fit anymore. He likes the concept of wrestlers breaking down invisible walls to work in other companies, but reckons the wording needs to change pronto.

"It’s not so forbidden anymore".

Jay also said that he was left slightly surprised by the booming response he received from All Elite fans. That isn't something he was expecting to get, but he's obviously happy it happened. That reaction told him that the "forbidden door" concept can still work if the wrestling biz "coins a new term for it".

White defeated Trent Beretta on the 18 February edition of Rampage. That hot main event showcased his skills brilliantly against an opponent he knows very well, but it's interesting that Tony Khan hasn't followed up on the bout with another match or two.

Maybe that'll come later in the year. If so, then Jay can sit down with Tony and come up with a new name for his "forbidden door".
