AEW Max Viewership Finally Revealed, Dynamite Averaging Around 1 Million Weekly Viewers (AEW News)
MAX and cable numbers combine to put AEW Dynamite back in seven-figure viewership

AEW Dynamite is pulling in an estimated 500,000 viewers per episode on the MAX streaming platform, resulting in an average of between 1 million and 1.2 million inclusive of live cable numbers, per BJ Bethel for SEScoops.
Noting "a source" throughout the story, the piece goes on to add that while viewership fluctuates weekly due to competition, AEW's flagship show reportedly averages around 60 million minutes watched per episode on MAX, with deviations of plus or minus 10-20%. AEW’s Live-Plus-1 viewership count (tracking fans who watch Dynamite live and/or within the next 24 hours) aligns with this measurement. Unlike traditional cable metrics, streamers prioritise total minutes watched rather than Nielsen-style ratings - in short, these are the metrics to track going forward. Or at very least track alongside the cable viewership.
The story went on to add that the show has consistently outperformed certain major hockey games on MAX, though it trails behind the NBA, where viewership ranges from 1.7 to 2 million per game. There was also some caution noted about its success opposing some of the larger streaming entertainment properties - AEW remains far from the levels of top-tier streaming series' with examples including Daredevil: Born Again and Agatha All Along highlighted as hitting between 7-10 million viewers per episode.
The source that corroborated the numbers noted that AEW will face stronger competition through the spring thanks to a Star Wars series as well as WWE being deep within WrestleMania season. They added that “Many of the top execs don’t know the overall numbers,” the source said. “Whether its total minutes watched. Viewers who have watched the total show. (They) can make correlations but what streamers look for is quite different from cable or OTA where numbers are there to satisfy advertisers.”
