Your eyes are not deceiving you, dear reader. You have read the title correctly: All Elite Wrestling is hosting a Puppy Battle Royale after the 8 July Fyter Fest special.

Here is the announcement vignette from last night's show:-

So... what the hell is going on here? Nobody knows. No details have been divulged whatsoever. There's no word on what this "match" will entail, how it will go down, why it is going down, or even whether or not Cody and Brandi Rhodes' Pharoah shall be involved, but... who cares?!

It's puppies and wrestling. Both of these things are objectively good, so screw it. Let's go.

The vignette is just a bunch of adorable little fluffballs strolling down ramps, wagging their tails, and climbing on top of each other in the ring. If that doesn't bring a smile to your face while the rest of this wretched hellscape of a planet is falling apart then you don't deserve joy, grumpy.

Last night also brought significant changes to the Fyter Fest card, with the Jon Moxley vs. Brian Cage main event postponed until 15 July's Fight for the Fallen, and a Tag Team Title match pitting Kenny Omega and Hangman Page against Private Party added.
