AEW Revolution: 10 Things That Must Happen
3. Hangman Page & Kenny Omega Miscommunicate
The shoot-style sit-down interview segment on Dynamite between Hangman Page, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and Jim Ross was good stuff. It did stray a little too much into fourth-wall-breakage at times (Matt Jackson telling Page they had "a match to promote" when he walked out, and Nick calling him a "jobber in ROH", was a bit too far), but it was well done on the whole.
It also set up an epic communication breakdown between the reigning Tag Champs.
There's no way Page and Omega can co-exist on Saturday. They have to struggle against the more cohesive Jackson duo, and they have to toil because Hangman can't get out of his own way. The story beat that has him feeling like an outcast amongst The Elite is nifty, and it should cost him some gold in the end.
The best way to play this is by having Page crack heads with Omega before the Bucks capitalise. They're not making any secrets about their desires to be Tag-Team Champions anyway, so they wouldn't come across as heels by taking advantage.
