AEW Revolution: 10 Things That Must Happen
4. MJF Continues Basking In Cody's Misery
After suffering 10 lashes at the hands of his former protégé on live TV, battling off the imposing Wardlow inside a steel cage and being unable to slap the yellow off MJF's teeth before now, Cody will finally get his hands on Mr. Friedman this weekend.
There's only one result that makes sense.
Cody is sort of similar to his brother in that he doesn't actually need marquee wins to retain relevance. Fans know the deal - Cody is one of AEW's leading lights behind the scenes, and he's perfect foil for emerging heels like MJF. At Revolution, the insufferable little snot should pull a fast one on Rhodes and extend their seriously fun rivalry.
The fact Arn Anderson and Wardlow are at ringside gives AEW's bookers an out. MJF's heavy could grab Arn, distracting Cody long enough for Friedman to kick him in the balls again for a pay-per-view scalp. This one has more juice to it, and deserves to peak at Double Or Nothing.
