AEW Revolution 2023: 10 Things That Must Happen

3. The ‘Iron Man’ Has Plenty Of Falls

MJF Roman Reigns
AEW

This fan will die on the, 'WrestleMania XII's main event was excellent' hill every single day of the week, but there is merit to claims it was a boring, self-obsessed snore of a match that just didn't suit the WWF's audience in 1996. Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart could've used a few pins and/or submissions to help tell their story, no doubt.

AEW must learn from that and ensure MJF vs. Bryan Danielson is more Rock vs. Triple H at Judgment Day 2000 than HBK vs. Hart from 'Mania XII. One hour is a long-assed time, especially when everyone watching will be sitting with a phone (and Twitter's endless scrolling gimmick) in hand.

6-5 would be better than 1-0 on this occasion.

Danielson's technical acumen can stall for time and slow things down when it suits, but this headliner absolutely shouldn't become some 0-0 stalemate that goes to overtime because "one man couldn't beat the other".

Plenty of action and plenty of decisions, please.
