This comes on the back of a breakout performance in All Out's Casino Battle Royale. Hobbs, a relative unknown, went toe-to-toe with some of the biggest names (and physical presences) in the promotion, matching guys like Brian Cage for power.

The big man had previously been featured on Dark, working as an enhancement talent, though that role has since been reversed. Hobbs is 2-0 after scoring a couple of quick squash victories following his Casino Battle Royale showing.

Last night saw Hobbs feature on Dynamite for the first time. Jake 'The Snake' Roberts and Taz formed a team of Lance Archer, Ricky Starks, and Brian Cage to face Jon Moxley and two partners of the AEW World Champion's choosing. Hobbs came to Mox's aid when he was jumped by Team Taz, leading to Moxley putting the newcomer over huge on the microphone. The duo will be joined by Darby Allin against the heels next week.

A strong Dynamite debut for Hobbs, who has earned this opportunity through graft and quality of his work.
