To quote the Bard, "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them". When AEW decided to thrust greatness upon rookie Jade Cargill, she fully repaid their faith in her.

Immediately launched into a big money angle, Cargill announced herself to the wrestling world by interrupting Cody Rhodes and promising to deliver Shaquille O'Neal to AEW. While it took a few months for Jade to make good on her promise, the resultant match was an absolute banger.

Shaq & Jade vs. Cody & Red Velvet was peak Sports Entertainment, and wouldn't have looked out of place had it taken place at WrestleMania. While it was the men who got the lion's share of the attention with a well-executed tables spot, Jade & Red Velvet more than held up their end of the action. Red Velvet's moonsault to the floor was a highlight-reel moment, and Jade's power, athleticism and superstar-level confidence showed why AEW have placed so much value in her.

Jade Cargill may have had a higher profile debut than most, but given how well she performed in the spotlight it's safe to say the former fitness model will go on to achieve greatness through her own merits.
