AEW Worlds End 2023: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

8. Riho Gets Another Reign

Thanks, but no thanks.

This might sound harsh to some who still enjoy her work (which is fair enough), but AEW should’ve moved on from Riho long before now. Truth be told, she just isn’t that interesting as a character despite having some solid matches whenever she dips back into view. Toni Storm is the future, not Riho.

Kenny Omega's pal certainly isn’t a credible challenger for Toni as 2023 comes to an end. Again, this smacks of 'B' tier pay-per-view fodder more than something AEW would happily put on one of the bigger tentpole events throughout the year. Putting the Women’s Title on Riho and cutting Storm short would be disastrous.

It simply cannot be allowed to happen. No-one needs to see Riho crying tears of joy as Aubrey Edwards raises her arm to the skies and straps that AEW Women's Title around her waist. 'Timeless' Toni should be holding that gold for the foreseeable, not losing it to a speed bump challenger.
