Weeeeeeeeeeeeeell!

Here's the Jeri-Show reunion you didn’t expect or want in 2023, baby! Seriously though, AEW’s options are limited following Kenny Omega’s layoff (get well soon to the belt collector), but the ex-Big Show being revealed as Jericho’s surprise replacement and those guys winning the tag belts doesn’t sound like a must-have contingency plan.

Right, time to admit something: There was a time when Jericho and Paul Wight reuniting on WWE TV would've been a laugh, but that ship has long-since sailed. Jeri-Show (or whatever they'd be called in AEW) coming back together to beat the already randomly-assembled Ricky Starks and Big Bill team is a nightmare for some All Elite hardcores.

Imagine going from workrate-heavy teams like FTR and The Young Bucks to Chris Jericho and Paul Wight? They've got star power, sure, but this sounds like the kind of title reign Dixie Carter would've booked for TNA back in 2011. In other words, let's hope it doesn't become reality for AEW in 2023.
