AEW Worlds End 2023: 10 Things That Must Happen

1. The Devil Reveal Is Worth Waiting On

The wait better be bloody worth it!

AEW can't go down the same road Vince McMahon occasionally ventured by figuring out a major reveal as they go along. WWE tried that with the Higher/Greater Power story in 1999, and again with stories like the anonymous Raw General Manager. Both eventual reveals felt like a bit of a sag in the story, especially the latter.

Tony Khan cannot afford to make the same mistake. He better have something tasty up his sleeve for The Devil, or he'll rightly face the wrath of annoyed wrestling fans online. Adam Cole would be satisfying given his association with MJF, but it has to be someone credible generally if it isn't him.

If handled correctly, then The Devil's reveal will be a springboard for excellent storytelling during the entire first half of 2024. If not, then AEW TV could be a chore post-Continental Classic without something huge to lure fans in with weekly.

Please, please, please get this right.
