Who else gets the feeling that this entire Continental Classic and Triple Crown business was set up as a love letter to 'Eddie Kingston: Hardcore Japanese Wrestling Fan'? Kingston even sported the same colours as his hero Toshiaki Kawada on Dynamite, and won his match vs. Bryan Danielson with the five-time Triple Crown winner's finish.

Are all of Eddie's fanboy dreams about to come true?!

This writer says yes. Sure, Jon Moxley would be a fine-enough pick to win the first CC tourney and take the ROH World, New Japan Strong Openweight and new Continental Titles for himself, but...this is Kingston's dream scenario we're talking about. Tony Khan can't rip that away from him and break the dude's heart.

Well, he can, but he shouldn't. Winning the very first Continental Classic (and retaining the two belts he put up for grabs along the way) would be a career-defining moment for Eddie. It's one anybody who loves pro wrestling as much as he does would want to see the man experience.
