The number of All Elite Wrestling pay-per-views will continue to increase in 2024.

The decision was confirmed by Tony Khan himself during comments to the press during promotion for Sunday's Revolution 2024 card. After 2023 hosted eight shows opposed to the five in 2022 and four in the preceding years, the founder, co-owner, president, and CEO of the company confirmed he had eyes on "nine to ten" being the magic number before December.

He said (h/t Fightful);

"I could see this year being nine to ten. Nine is probably a good sweet spot. It feels like that’s about the right number. I don’t want to make a huge change or increase, but definitely, eight was incredibly successful and I don’t want to do anything totally different, but I do see an opening for nine, probably, and maybe ten. Nine feels like a great number for us, in particular when you also consider I put on three Ring of Honor streaming events annually, that puts AEW doing our nine strongest events plus the ROH’s three strongest events,"

Nine as the "sweet spot" may well be due to the aforementioned Ring Of Honor additions - AEW going to 10 would mark more than a show a month in the calendar year for Khan to book and promote. It would also mean a show a month from right now - Sunday's event will mark the first of the year. with WrestleDream, All In London and World's End presumably added to tentpole shows Double Or Nothing, All Out and Full Gear.
