Could Penta Oscuro be about to unmask? Possibly...

Following last night's AAA Triplemania XXX: Tijuana, Penta finds himself in the final of the Rulete de la Muerte tournament. That tourney began at Triplemania XXX: Monterrey in April, with the ultimate aim being for one person to lose their mask.

With the losers of this eight-man tournament advancing to the next round, Penta Oscuro's loss last night to Blue Demon Jr. means he'll now be fighting for his mask at Triplemania XXX: Mexico City in October. There, he'll square off against Villano IV, who was defeated by Psycho Clown in Tijuana this weekend.

This upcoming Mexico City contest will be the third time that Penta has put his mask on the line - following wins over Zaius in 2009 and Sami Callihan in 2018 - whilst this will mark the 13th time that Villano IV has fought for his mask across a career that is now in its 40th year.

Of course, in addition to his appearances for AAA over the years, Villano IV is fondly remembered for his time with WCW between 1996 and 2000 - often alongside his brother, Villano V.
