Following hot on the heels of Kenny Omega and Bianca Belair winning the respective men's and women's singles awards, The Young Bucks have topped Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Tag Team 50.

PWI's Kevin McElvaney made this announcement earlier today, with Matt and Nick Jackson beating out competition from Lucha Bros., the Dangerous Tekkers duo of Zack Sabre Jr. and Taichi, The Usos, and the ALK pairing of Syuri and Giulia to grab that top spot.

This is only the second year of the PWI Tag Team 50, with FTR's Dax Wheeler and Cash Wilder win the inaugural award last year. For those wondering, The Young Bucks ranked at #11 in the 2020 iteration of this prize.

It was of course a memorable 12 months for the Bucks across PWI's assessment period, with the Jacksons defeating FTR for the AEW Tag Team Titles at Full Gear 2020. From there, Matt and Nick embarked on an impressive 302-day reign with those straps before losing them to the Lucha Bros. at All Out 2021 in a barnstormer of a steel cage contest.

At this stage, the full PWI Tag Team 50 hasn't been revealed, although you can order this latest issue of Pro Wrestling Illustrated here.
