AEW’s Trent? has taken to Twitter to reveal he underwent neck fusion surgery yesterday.

The Best Friends member informed fans that he had this procedure on Saturday and that it thankfully “went well”.

Trent? was last seen in AEW action on the 21 April episode of Dynamite, losing to Penta El Zero Miedo on that outing.

The AEW fan favourite previously had a three-month spell on the sidelines earlier this year due to a partially torn pec.

After that layoff, Trent? made his Sue-assisted return during the Arcade Anarchy battle that saw Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy take on Miro and Kip Sabian. Since then, Trent? has only wrestled four times before having to go under the knife again here.

How long the four-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion will be out of action for remains to be seen, but neck fusion surgery is a serious deal that usually results in a lengthy spell on the sidelines for those involved.

All the best to Trent? on a speedy recovery from all of us here at WhatCulture Wrestling.
