Let's try and get this one out of the way early. Since CM Punk's walkout in January 2014, some fans have taken it upon themselves to chant his name at any WWE event at any given time. Some times it has been during less-than-satisfactory matches or segments, while other times it has been at expense of his wife AJ Lee. Though there is some logic being employed there - shouting the name of a guy you miss at the nearest thing to him which happens to be his wife - it is still incredibly disrespectful to AJ Lee both as a person and a professional. AJ's matches, promos, and interviews have frequently been ruined by this kind of crowd behaviour, and she has had to soldier through it in what must've made for very uncomfortable backstage situations. Fortunately, AJ Lee happens to be a great at handling crowds and controversy, so it wouldn't be uncommon for the chants to start and for her to simply react with great tongue-in-cheek shrugging, as below. Even CM Punk himself bemoaned the fans' behaviour when he appeared on Colt Cobana's podcast late last year, saying that people should chant her name instead of his (it does have the same amount of syllables, after all!)
