Testament to AJ Lee's standing in the WWE was that on one of the most-viewed Raw episodes in history, Raw 1000, she was at the center of one of the main segments of the night. As she was about to tie the knot in an in-ring wedding with Daniel Bryan, she then left him standing at the altar having accepted a proposition from another. Cue the theme music of one Vince McMahon, and it was beginning to become one of the most bemusing segments in Raw's history; that was until Mr. McMahon explained that it was a business proposition, and he announced AJ Lee as the new Raw General Manager. Though it only lasted a few months, AJ's position of authority and power lead her to meddling with both Bryan and CM Punk's matches, as well as feuding with Vickie Guerrero when she decided she wanted to be General Manager too. Even when AJ stepped down from the role, it lead to more huge storylines for her; namely dating John Cena, and then turning on him and aligning with Dolph Ziggler.
